-Instead of hitting the “Submit” button every time you create a word, just double click on the last letter of the word you have formed, because this way you’ll speed up the whole process. And let me remind you that in this game, time is of the essence.

-Similarly, if you have started creating a word but you change your mind halfway through, it is faster to click on the right button of the mouse to deselect all the letters, than using the left button to click on them in reverse order.

For those who want to know how to get a higher score in gold miner I have come up with this guide, so you can improve your game play and challenge your friends:

My golden rules (pun intended) for top scores are:

- Many levels come up with no much gold, so the trick is to do very well on the first ones and “save up” your money (especially the diamond levels like level to coast through the lean times.

-Try to store not only money but also dynamite and use only strength.

-Only buy TNT if it’s under $50.

-Be careful and don’t blow up everything!

-Only buy strength if it’s under $200.

-If you accidentally fire off the crane before the time you intended to, hit the right arrow twice immediately after. If you do it soon enough, the crane will come back instead of shooting off screen, or worse into a barrel of TNT.

-The bags marked as “?” that are heavy, is because they contain dynamite, 800 pounds or 250 pounds.

-For level one and seven get the big pieces first ($500), and then the smaller ones.

-Get as many diamonds as possible and buy the gem polish.

-It helps if you’re $3,000 over your mandatory goal by the end of the round, so you are already ahead for the next one.

-Make sure you have over $10,035 before level 8 or you probably won’t get pass level 11. Go get the diamonds first then take care of the rest.

-Above all, be patient!
